WHY WE STARTED

We understand the challenges clinics face with managing complex cases, from time constraints to limited in-house resources. Referrals add travel burdens and delays, making timely care difficult. We founded this service to bring internal medicine expertise directly to clinics, providing reliable diagnostics while reducing stress for pets, owners, and veterinarians. Our goal is to support primary care teams, helping them focus on what they do best—caring for their patients.

At Compassionate Veterinary Care, we saw a growing need among veterinary clinics for accessible, expert support in managing complex medical cases. Time constraints, limited in-house diagnostic tools, and the challenges of coordinating external referrals often delay care and increase stress for pets, owners, and veterinary teams.

That’s why we launched our mobile internal medicine service, led by Dr. Matt Tonero, DVM, a residency-trained (Practice Limited to small animal internal medicine). By providing on-site internal medicine consultations, diagnostic abdominal ultrasound, and outpatient procedures directly at the referring veterinarian’s clinic, we eliminate travel burdens and streamline care.
